"Hamlet's Sand Castle"Bay Day, Narragansett, RI 7/28/01 Not long ago I was invited to write a jacket blurb for a charming new children's book - "Hamlet and the Magnificent Sand Castle" - written and illustrated by Brian Lies, published by Moon Mountain. (Hamlet is a pig with a talent for getting himself in trouble.) In July, I was invited to Rhode Island to carve Hamlet and his castle in sand and had a great time doing so. (That's Brian Lies posing with me below.) |
1/01 My most recent solo project was a commissioned piece for the Aruba Radisson, completed 12/20/00. See more photos and my report here.

4/98 - So there I was in Pensacola Beach, FL on a 4-day solo job in a nice big hotel room right on the beach, thinking to myself how much more fun this would be if I had a buddy to share it with.
Right about then Adelaide (aka Sunny Daze) showed up with boyfriend and son in tow and fully prepared with the SOB-style pither I'd painted for her. Neither of us had any idea that the other was in town and our reunion was truly joyful. She also made herslef useful by helping me carve a disneyesque version of the Titanic (below). |
