Particulars: This is my second visit to the still life theme. I like the idea of creating two distinct sculptures - the "still" side and the "life" business happening on the other. Am thinking of continuing a series of "Still Lifes" in my future contest pieces.

The sculpture was inspired by the too-cute chick egg cup I found on eBay....the kinda creepy "Eat my fetus!" thing is what got me, I guess. This scupture finished a (dismal) tenth place in the contest, but - maybe for the first time ever - this did not bother me. I guess I no longer really care what the judges think (one I observed never even made it all the way around the sculpture) and am now just competing against myself. And - Guess What? I won!
